The David Lehman studio teaches professional acting classes in Hollywood and Los Angeles. Our main purpose is to offer acting classes to prepare actors to work in the television and film industry. This on-camera class prepares you in an encouraging and supportive environment for the audition as well as the performance. Work at your own pace on monologues, cold reading and scene study. Classes are kept small, so that everyone gets individual attention and coaching.
Access the magic! Many actors who have studied at the studio have had a background of work in theatre. Many of them have had the experience of spontaneously, without intention or design, having the expression of the work go off into a direction quite different than anything rehearsed or expected-- yet, report the experience to be exciting, revealing and envigorating, beyond anything that went before. THIS ONLY RESULTS FROM A STATE OF MIND. Not knowledge based nor anything deliberate. Our work, however, helps the actor to achieve these magic moments, more and more consistently. Knowledge, anything intellectual, controlling thoughts, gets in the way. We help the actor get out of his head, and get out of the way so his talent can work without interference.
